Registration Information - Allied Health

Summer 2008

• HOLDS: All holds must be cleared before you will be eligible to register via SA Self Service Learner Services. Contact the department listed on the Holds Summary screen in SA Self Service Personal Portfolio. (NOTE: Some holds may not be able to be cleared immediately, so check your hold status as soon as possible.)
   
• TUITION AND FEES: Tuition and fees must be paid by 4:30 p.m. on the last business day before your official first day of class. (NOTE: Tuition and fees for transactions completed during the Web Add/Drop/Late Registration period are due by the official census date.) Failure to pay by the published deadline may result in your being dropped from your classes and will make you subject to a $100 late fee. Check the AH Academic Calendar to confirm your date.
   
• BILLS & PAYMENTS: Bills will be mailed to enrolled students at their current home address by the Bursar's Office. Be sure to check your home address on SA Self Service Personal Portfolio and make any necessary changes. (NOTE: Bills will not be mailed for transactions completed during the Web Add/Drop/Late Registration period. Students may either check their account via SA Self Service Learner Services or contact the Bursar's Office for the amount. Please allow the Bursar's Office 24 hours following your add/drop or late registration to update your tuition and fees.) Failure to receive a bill is not justification for failure to pay by the published deadline.
   
• FINANCIAL AID: Financial aid disbursements will be posted to students' accounts on or about 10 days prior to their official first day of class. Check the AH Academic Calendar to confirm your date. Students may either check their account via SA Self Service Learner Services or contact the Bursar's Office for information concerning residual balances after this date.
   
• HEALTH INSURANCE: Proof of private health insurance must be provided to the Registrar's Office every semester. Required documentation includes a fully completed UTHSCSA Health Insurance Coverage information form and a front/back copy of your insurance card. Failure to provide proof will result in your being charged for Health Insurance. Nonetheless, check your bill. If you are charged for Health Insurance and have private health insurance, provide required documentation to the Registrar's Office prior to paying your bill. Once paid, the Health Insurance fee may be nonrefundable.

• Summer 2008 NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION: New student registration is completed for incoming students by their respective academic departments prior to the first day of orientation. Questions regarding a student's schedule of classes should be directed to the appropriate academic department.
