Required Health Insurance
The UT System Board of Regents requires you to maintain a valid major medical insurance policy while you are a registered student at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. If you are covered by major medical health insurance, you must submit proof of coverage to the Registrar's Office each semester (annually for medical and dental students).
Complete the Health Insurance Form and return it to the Registrar’s Office, with a copy of your health insurance card, before you pay tuition and fees. If you have not provided coverage prior to the time you register you will be billed for a United Healthcare insurance policy.
